Boron Federal Prison 2018

Exploring a ghost town has always been on my bucket list. Brennan and I were able to explore the Boron Federal Prison on our way up to Yosemite earlier this year. Technically, this location was originally an Air Force Station. It was converted into a federal prison in the late 1970s and was shut down in 2000. It's completely abandoned but is still an operating radar site by the FAA. Exercise caution if you ever visit this place because 1. you're technically trespassing when you're on the premises and 2. the buildings are heavily vandalized and some are pretty sketchy to be inside of. Either way, I'm super stoked that we were able to explore this ghost town. *Please note that some shots of the vandalism will have curse words
